Australian visa passmark lowered

It is now easier for workers from the UK to emigrate to Australia to work since the Australian government has lowered the passmark for its SkillSelect programme.

Under the old system, applicants needed to score 65 points to meet the requirements for skilled migration, but this has now been lowered to 60 points from 1st July.

The changes affect the following visas: subclass 189 – Skilled Independent, subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated, and subclass 489 – Skilled Nominated or Sponsored (provisional).
