There are a number of migration options for other family members of Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens, who are applying from outside Australia. This may include remaining relatives, aged dependant relatives or carers of Australian relatives.
Remaining Relative Visa
This is a sponsored visa that enables people to join their brothers, sisters or parents who are their only near relatives and reside in Australia, and are Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens.
Aged Dependent Relations
A sponsored visa for aged persons (age requirements apply). Applicants must satisfy criteria that they are reliant on a relative in Australia for all or most of their living costs.
Carer Visa
This visa allows people who are needed to care for a relative in Australia or a member of their family who has a dependant medical condition
New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship Visa (Temporary)
This visa allows people who are not New Zealand citizens to travel to Australia with a family member who is a New Zealand citizen who is a special category visa holder.
