A media an events Firm in England has revealed that the worldwide recession has prompted record numbers of Britons to relocate to popular migration destinations with greater economic stability.
Evolve Digital Publishing, located near Bath, recently held an exhibition at London’s Earls court, providing thousands of visitors with information on emigration to Australia and New Zealand.
Despite the recent news that the Australian government has had to take precautionary quota-cutting measures in the wake of the credit crunch, EDP predicts that some 40,000 skilled workers from the UK will immigrate Down under throughout 2009.
Moreover, the majority of respondents to a survey revealed that their decision to consider Australian and/or New Zealand immigration was not exclusively due the UK’s current economic difficulties. Rather, prospective migrants were drawn to the “laidback life, with stunning scenery, long days of sunshine and the outdoor life” that the Antipodes have to offer.
The event, called Down Under Live! will be showcased in Birmingham and Cardiff later this year. |
