plz tell me abt employee verification i am a hairdresser FROM INDIA i have applied for australian visa under skilled migration136 i regularly go to saloon but i want to know when this verification is usually conducted i have got my acceptance from TRA now my case is with DIMA i even got my acknowledgement no. from DIMA in first week of dec.--THANKS
we have applied for a skilled 136 visa and intended going to sydney. However we have now decided on perth should we have applied for a regional visa instead? would this have been processed quicker?
Our family are 35,34,12,9,9 and my husband is a truck driver here in the UK. I notice there are major shortages in most states and am trying to locate comapnies that help achieve a 457 visa. We are particularly looking in South west WA and Melbourne. I understand the ATA is in talks with DIMIA at the moment but do not have the update on this. Could you please help as I have been trawling the net for 6 months now without any joy!!
We are contemplating beginning the process of a move to Australia. As we have 5 children we are concerned about the financial implications. How much free equity would you recommend us to have?

	How long is a piece of string? It will all depend upon the labour market, your skills and experience, your qualifications and how much your future employer needs you in his/her organisation. MIS is not in high demand at present. JAVA programming is. Your best bet is to find "A job" first and then look for "The job".

	You are not required to have any specific amount. To have a reasonably comfortable "settling in" experience the more the better.

	Medical & police clearance & postage should do it assuming you dont have any language charges or bonds to pay.

	You can apply for a different visa class if you fail.

	verification - if it is to be carried out - will be done at a completely random time.

	Perth is not a designated area - Non Perth West Australia is. You can go anywhere you like within Australia on a 136.

	OE wouldnt deal with a 457 for a truckie. Try www.themara.com.au for a Perth based firm.

	Everyone is different, we all have our own expectations BLAH BLAH BLAH. My best advice is dont even think about it unless you have bare minimum £25K landing money with your size of family.
