Hi (about 136 australian visa)
I understood that ACS gives IT professionals a ASCO Code and a MODL eligibility, but about
a) the Recent Work Experience:
---who verifies this criteria ? (ACS or DIMIA?)
---how? (based on the exact same documents we send to ACS?)
b) the Specific Work Experience
---who verifies these points ? (ACS or DIMIA?)
---how? (based on the exact same documents we send to ACS?)

Hi, My English husband and I (together with our two children born in the UK) would like to move back to my native Australia. On reading the consulate website, I came across a visa suggestion at a whopping cost of $1390! Instead of going down the visa route, is it not possible to get a passport for him from the outset? My children both hold Aussie passports already.
Hi, about Australia General Skilled Mirgration.
My nominated occupation is 2231-79. But my recent work experience is another skilled occupation (2231-11), my question is Can I meet the basic requirement "recent work experience" with one occupation and get the 15 extra points with another one?
Could you please tell me that when the employer verification is usually done? is it done before one is asked to undergo a medical examination or is it done afterwards?
For skilled independent - Information technology: systems manager, I have submitted work experiences from two organnizations. The first one was of two years (till march 2003) and the latest one was of three years (till may 2006). The problem is, my first organization,a factory, due to huge financial prolems have almost removed all of the IT setup and they are now down to couple of computers.. thats it. What is the probablity of DIMIA verifying my first experience and what result can be expected - though my last experience is of 3 years (that is what required by DIMA) which is completely verifiable and dependable in any way, shape or form.
We have just submitted our SIR application and have been asked for evidence of our IELTS test. As native English speakers, born in the UK and with all qualifications in English including degrees. Do we need to sit an IELTS test? If not, what evidence can we provide to prove we are native speakers?
Hi there, i am 22 years old and have a partner and child.
I have wanted to move to Australia for a few years but never seem to get anywhere,my partner is a chef - cook and i have looked at sites and they are in demand.
i live in a 2 bedroom, housing Association, and was just wondering do we have a chance of moving over there, and finding a job and housing before we move over there? we have not got any capital, but have savings of around to 2k is that ok, or to little to immigrate. i really would love to be there asap, to start a new life, be great to hear back form you,One more question how much is the whole process? or can you just apply for a visa and find work and housing yourself? thanks
i want to move to canada but because im still a student i have a bad credit rating but by the time i apply i will have been working for at least a year and my debts will have been mostly sorted will this still affect me?
I have an HSMP visa. I had invited a relative who overstayed her visitors visa by 1 month due to health reasons. She was questioned at the airport as regards to this. Will this affect my leave to remain when I apply for extension of my HSMP visa next year?| Questions & Answers | |

Good Question. The answer is RWE and 12/18 is verified by DIMA and this is done by documentary evidence. e.g. references, payslips, letters of appointment etc etc. |

No - he needs a visa and 3 years residence prior to getting a passport. Sorry but $1390 is not the only costs you will have when you add medical and police checks etc on. |

There is no absolute answer for this as I have experienced it both sides of the medical request. The medical request usually indicates that all is well as a rule of thumb though! |

DIMA will believe what they have evidence of.... This is always a tricky situation. You can call Richard Gregan on 0131 625 6906 to discuss this. |

You will not have to sit IELTS. Send in certified copies of your degree. |

Your chances of finding work pre departure are reasonable. Housing - I am not so sure. You seem light on funds. Good luck. |
