Hi, Im a NZ Citizen. I have been living outside NZ for a number of years but now wish to return with my wife and our new 11 month old baby to live permanently. Both my wife and my baby are British citizens ( not NZer). What visas (if any) will they need in advance or will we be able to sort it out on arrival. I would appreciate knowing what you feel would be the best course of action.

I am from india.I was hoping to try for UK HSMP visa by evaluating my masters degree on my own by UK NARIC which can fetch me 35 points. But the UK NARIC team says that my degree is postgraduate diploma so you cannot claim points for that. I have done my masters from USA(2 years course), then also they are not claiming it as masters. Is there a way I can tell UK NARIC team to include my degree as masters?| Questions & Answers | |

There is an "on shore student visa" that you may qualify for. |

Yes. Child custody issues can be tricky and costly. Medicals may be required for non migrating dependant cildren. A written parental authority or juducial order maybe required for migrating children |

Each case is unique. The officer will issue the case when satisfied all relevant criteria have been proved. If she is doing some further verification she obviuolsy has some concern. Migration is frustrating and there is inevitable delays along the way. Employ an agent if you wish to minimise these. |

Check my website. It is fair to say that of my clients - around 85 to 90% are happy people - pre and post move to OZ (or wherever). The nature of migration is such that it is extremely stessful and demanding. The nature of many chat rooms is that they attract negative people making negative comments. Speak to an experienced Agent - be honest with him or her about what you want to achieve in your new country and take some advice as to whether you are being realistic. Richard Gregan - 0131 625 6906 richard@my-oe.com MARN 9905168 - Been working in this field 13 plus years. Lived in Big 4 States of Australia and all of NZ and Ontario in Canada. I am not short of work. I will give you an honest appraisal of your prospects for A happy landing. The reality is that it usually hard work to settle in. Ozzies are not racist in my experience. There are some "uneducated, unenlightened people" - but isnt that the case with all countries? If you have a skill on the occupations list and are prepared to work - you will find a job if you put yourself out - again in my experience. |

No - it will not affect a migration - if you have relevant docmentation to show you are genuinely married. |

UK kids are ususally around 3-5 months behind so he may need to do another few months of year 11. As Oz schools are used to taking incoming migrants I am sure a chat with a local headmaster will answer any questions. Your son remains "dependant" and therefore part of your application till he turns 18 years. |
