i believe the processing dates for offshore non priority class 136 visa applications are around the 14th April. Can you confirm that this means decisions are being made on visa's applied for at that time or are they simply just beginning to deal with applications lodged at that time.If our application was lodged on the 1st Nov, roughly how long before we are requested to go for medicals & police checks.

I am from india.I was hoping to try for UK HSMP visa by evaluating my masters degree on my own by UK NARIC which can fetch me 25 points. But the UK NARIC team says that my degree is postgraduate diploma so you cannot claim points for that. I was thinking of filing my HSMP application to HSMP team , may be by fluke they would count my masters points and I would be qualified for 65 points. Is this possible?

An "experience only" or route C is a difficult case. You may like to take some advice beofre proceeding alone. |

You should speak to a debt counsellor before you make any decisions about what to do. There are IVA's and other paths you could take rather than the "midnight flit" you seem to be proposing.. Running out on your debts COULD be used as evidence of "bad character" - which COULD lead to a visa refusal. As for you being traced - yes - I have heard they can track you down. This has affected some migrant's ability to get a mortgage in Australia. |

PDG. It depends on what the "kinks" are. If it is relatively straight forward I always get them through. If it is very trick I get the vast majority through. Of course I fail from time to time on the "tricky" cases - but almost never on a straight forward case. Call to discuss your options. This is free of charge. None of my staff will take on a case where there is a serious chance of failure. It is not in my, your or any one elses interest to do so. Registered Agents can lose their license if they lodge "vexatious or unfounded" cases with DIMA. Non registered people dont have this criteria and in my experience are often happy to take a fee with little or no chance of success. |

Its roughly 9 months for grant - assuming no medical or character issues. With an Electronic Medical lodgement this can be cut to 8 months on a good day. |
