I AM A CARPENTER AND I AM THINKING OF MOVING TO PERTH DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA OF THE WAGE FOR A CARPENTER ? THERE IS MYSELF MY WIFE AND TWO YOUNG CHILDRER,COULD WE LIVE ON A CARPENTERS WAGE IN AN AVERAGE FOUR BED BUNGALOW?
please help we are in our 50's and would love to immigrate to nz or aus as we have not got any educational qualifications and can only do semi skilled work, [i do have 24 years army expereince]what would are chances be.

we have children aged 14 , 12 and 8 . If we were to emigrate from UK to Australia would we be required to contribute financially to the state (public ) education for any of them. The introductory book we are reading seems to suggest that we may be required to pay an annual fee for the senior school children.

If Australias accounting assesment body agree you are an accountant then yes - you can apply for an SIR. QLD, WA, Vic and SA are all active in their use of the SIR visa.

NZ does not have a retirement visa. Australia does. You could always go for 6 months per year. Your daughter would have to qualify in her own right.

You are both on the NOC - Nurses can have some trouble getting "registered" to work in Canada - so get started on that while waiting for your visa application to be processed.

If you can pass an ACS (Australian Computer Society skills assesment) and if you are on any of the States Skills list (SA needs a job offer) then yes - you can apply.

State schooling is basically free to Permanent residents. There are some costs for school trips, sports events etc that you do need to pay. If you are on a temporary visa there is a charge for attendance at State schools. Private schooling has fees in the same way as it does in the Uk - only much cheaper.
