i have been a qualified pipe-fitter for 10 years and wish to emigratre to australia with my wife. is this trade recognised and will it qualify me as i can seem to find it on any of the occupation lists.
My partner and I wish to migrate to Australia. I am an Administrator and he has been training as a Carpenter for 3 years. We have been told that he needs 6 years experience to qualify for a Skilled Visa. Before taking up Carpentry we was a Farm worker since leaving college and has loads of certificates for this. We worked in Perth on a farm for approx 5 months and we would be able to get sponsorship through my partners Aunt. Is farming reqognised as a skill - if not what sort of visa would we need to apply for. Any help with this would be appreciated
If I were to be the primary applicant for moving to Australia to attend university at the age of 40, would it matter if my husband was 46 years old?

I am looking to apply for a 90 day visitor visa to the USA. I am looking for advice on how to apply. I was convicted for possession of cannabis 7 years ago (no intent to supply) at the time I was let off with a warning and fine. I have been told by the police that the offence is no longer considered as a recorded offence as 5 years has lapsed. I have been in no trouble with the police since then. I am a qualified nurse and could easily get work in Australia. However I have a 2 year old son and a partner who is skilled in tiling but withiut a qualification. We have debts here but can we apply for emmigration on this basis or does this not come into account.

	Yes it is an occupation that is on Austrlaia's skills occupation list. You can complete an on-line enquiry for a further assessment.

	Yes you will need 6 years experience as a tradesman. No farming isnot a skilled trade listed on the occupations list. the only way forward is to complete the 6 years and apply for skills migration. A 1 year working holiday visa to Australia if you are 18 to 30.

	No it would not. The principal applicant must be under 45 years at the time of application.

	Actually at this stage there is no stipulated amount you "have" to take by law. As you have no recourse to public funds common sense dictates you should have a reasonable "nest egg".

	Why dont you apply for a "conviction history" from the police. If there is something on it. declare it - if not - then dont.

	No, the Australian authorities do not carry out credit checks. Comments:Not ususally in a "skilled" visa. They need financial evidence in "business" visas though!

	He must enter first. You and the kids can enter up to around 10 months later (pre 1st anniversary of meds or penal)

	yes you can. There are some rules relating to a job offer and how long you stay in that job - but broadly speaking - you canwork as you wish as a permanent resident.

	You would be the principle applicant and he would be the secondary. It sounds to me like you will qualify as a family quite easily.

	Hello. I live in the UK. My brother married a girl from the USA in May 2004 and is living in Colorado with her. My fiance and I are to be married in England in June. We would like to move to America as would my parents to be with my brother. I am a qualified hairdresser specializing in colour, my fiance is a landscape gardener and my father a gym owner and personal trainer.
