I am thinking of emigrating to Australia and in order to do this I will need to re-train. I was thinking of teaching, but I am not sure if this is a required skill, is there anything else that would be better. By the time I have finished uni I will be 37 and I have a child who would be 7. I will be divorced by then. What problems will this cause?| Questions & Answers | |

Parents cant sponsor adult chlildren and get a visa solely on this bsis. If your wife has a skill on the occupations list - that would be a start. Depending where your father in law lives would also be a factor as to what visa sub class you could apply for. Best discussed on the phone number above. |

I suggest you cover this in the form 47 a covering letter, a CV and possibly a Statutory declaration. Unless this period covers your training period it should not effect your "points" score -it is only required to prove 6/12 or 12/18 months and 3 out of the last 4 years. |

No. Get visa first - then buy the business is the route I would always recomend. There can be exceptions when you can buy now. I would only ecomend this with some professional help. If you are ultimately refused a visa, you will have an Australian based business that you cannot work in. Call Richard Gregan 0131 625 6906 to discuss the many options you may have. |

Temp Res via 457 is usually OK without bio parental consent. |

Under "skilled migration" - impossible. You may want to consider a student visa - and learn a skill on the list. (this is very expensive - not to mention risky). Other than this - consider a business visa. |

Yes you have to put them on the application - even as non migrating children. |
