Questions:

I am a separated mother-of-two and plan to migrate to Canada this year. How much money will I require to have before settling there?
My wife is planning to emigrate to Canada to live with a friend. She is 32 years old has two small children one aged seven years and the other 18 months. She has the sum total of $38,000 . She does not have any skills at all but plans to go as a nanny to her friend. Does she need my permission to take my children into Canada? I am beside myself at losing my two kids . I am a resident of the UK but work in Saudi Arabia. Please advise me of what her chances are of gaining entry to Canada, Steve.
My husband has a friend in Canada who has his own business and he would like to employ him for a year or more as a skilled worker. What are my husband's chances of getting a visa? What are the steps to be followed by our friend in order to get this procedure started?
My case was revoked and they are asking me to send papers in. I was just wondering if my case was closed or is it still possible for me to continue my case.
My husband and I are applying to emigrate to New Zealand, but one question bothers us. As we are applying on our skill base, will our application be affected if we have children. We are newly married and currently do not have children, but are hoping they will come along. How will a child born whilst we are applying affect our chances.
I am looking to emigrate to Australia , if I was "accepted" can I stay here for a few months or a year or do you have a limited time in which to go? Also I have a trade at present but no papers but I have full City & Guilds in cookery/pastry/food service although no real vocational experience since I passed 15 years ago - will this help?
My girlfriend Is a qualified teacher and we are looking to emigrate to Australia together, we thought we passed the points test but apparently her three year degree course is not recognised in Australia as their equivalent course is a four year one, what can we do?
I am migrating to Nelson in late 2005, and as a result I have recently begun to take more of an interest in the New Zealand economy. Several articles have stated that the housing market is booming in NZ. Is this the reason that we have seen the New Zealand Dollar become more expensive against the Pound Sterling? Also what can I do to keep informed of future dollar movements?
My husband is a welder and has been in this trade for 20 years now - although he doesn't have any formal qualifications he can obtain references regarding quality of his work etc. Will this be a problem? Also if we were to be successful and we go as a family will I be able to work once there?
I emigrated to Australia in 1968 but returned to UK in 1969 with my parents. Would I still eligble to emigrate?

You will require settlement fees of $15,387 CDN which is roughly £6,686 GBP.

For migration purposes you will normally require written consent from the second parent on the birth certificate. So if you are on the children’s birth certificate written consent will be required. However, if you live in Saudi Arabia permanently and are not resident in the UK then this can affect the process. On the other point of eligibility for a visa to Canada, for her to be sponsored, her employee is required to obtain approval through the Human Resource Department of Canada. Basically they must show no other Canadian Citizen is willing to do that job. Otherwise she will need to go through an approved agency that has permission from Canadian Immigration Service to provided nannies on short term working visas. But this is normally for single people. For skills permanent migration you must meet a pass mark and have an occupation and qualifications, it is therefore unlikely that these criteria will be met.

To be able to go to Canada on a sponsored visa you will require a company to sponsor you. The company will also have to obtain approval through the Human Resource Department of Canada to employ someone for that position. If the employer can easily employ a Canadian to do the job then it is usually very difficult to obtain approval from HRDC. Without knowing your husband's occupation, skills and qualifications and the type of job he is being sponsored for it is impossible to give any further advice You will need to contact an OE Consultant for a further assessment and your husband's potential employer will need to contact our Canadian office in Toronto to begin the HRDC application.
My case was revoked and they are asking me to send papers in. I was just wondering if my case was closed or is it still possible for me to continue my case.
Depending on the country in question which has revoked your case most immigration departments have a review tribunal route. However, in Australia’s case this is only available if you have been sponsored by an Australian for the purpose of the application. And then in most cases an appeal must be lodged within 49 days. I would advise that you contact a registered agent to discuss your situation at length and obtain more accurate advice once the full details are known. Sometimes an application can be fixed/corrected and re-lodged. Please call 0845 6017810 or 0131 6256900 and ask to speak to a migration consultant

Having a child is fine and will not affect the migration application. The only way a child will affect the application is if the child has health problems, other than that because the couple are married and it is their legal child there will be no problems.

Several articles have stated that the housing market is booming in NZ. Is this the reason that we have seen the New Zealand Dollar become more expensive against the Pound Sterling? Historically, Sterling (GBP) against the New Zealand Dollar (NZD) has been very volatile. Hundreds of factors influence the strength of the dollar against the pound. Interest rates, political events and the state of the economy/housing market are just a few. However it is important to remember that no single factor should be considered in isolation. To ensure that you get a fully comprehensive understanding of market movements you should talk to a currency expert like HIFX PlC. A specialist broker will explain how these issues can impact the exchange rate and keep you up to date, via daily emails, with the dollar fluctuations.

Yes - we can assess people without formal qualifications. Yes - if you all go as a family you can certainly work. Call 0845 601 7810 for further help.
