Questions:
My partner would very much like to start his own business in Canada providing holidays and tours for motorbikes, taking them on the best roads best views etc. He went on one of this holidays in france and loved it and would like to start it up himself. He does work in construction operating heavy plant machiney and has done for 10 years so he was going to try to immigrate as a skilled worker. Would it be worth him mentioning his plans for the future, or should he keep it to himself....Dont know how Canadians feel about bikers... Thanks for any help.

He either has to make a "skilled worker" or a "business" application. I am not sure he would qualify for the latter so mentioning business intentions in a skilled application is fairly irrelevant. |

6 out the last 12 months is good enough for a 495 or 496 (SIR) visas. If you would rather have an independent or relation sponsored visa then you will need 12/18 months recent work experience. |

This to me sounds like a tricky case that will need NZQA verification. For me to answer off the top of my head would not be ethical. I would be happy to discuss what you should do next. Richard Gregan 0131 625 6906 |

12/18 months or sometimes 6/12 months. You need relevant work experience which will require Post Qualification work. You then need to have an occupation on the Skilled occupation list. (SOL) |

No force can employ you unless you have a relevant visa status. Police will not be eligible for a visa or "sponsorship". |
