Questions:

I'm a student teacher and would love to emmigrate to australia after i qualify, i'm not finding much information on emmigrating and the types of jobs available, i have carried out job searches with no results found. do u have any suggestions?
Re: my previous question re: C & G electrics and how many years experience needed together with the qualification. Your response was generally 12 out of the last 18 months experience. Thank you very much for your response. Just another quick question, would the 12 months have to be as a full time job or could it be part time - would this be banked hours of experience. Thank you so much.
My partner is just completing his third year of his C & G and will be a qualified Electrician in June 2007. In order to qualify to emigrate, how many years work experience does he need in this field?
I am a qualifed Radiographer but approaching 60 years old woudl I still be acceptable to apply for immigration with employment in either Australia or New Zealand
please can you reply to my ques on page 1 (part electrician)
hi again just another quick question(part qualified electrician)ive done three years city and guilds apprentiship and i am jib regesterd when i get my part 2 (fully qualified) will that be ok to emergrate? thanks
hi i am part qualified electrician can u plaese tell me if i get my second part will i be able to emigrate once qualified or do i have to have seven years experiance? wich i have got but not as a qualified electrician (but can still do the work)
re my previous email on behalf of my son, can he apply for citizenship without actually having worked as an electrician (he is currently fruit picking) or is what you are saying he can only apply for citizenship of Australia if he works as an electrician. Also would it be an quicker and easier process if he came back to the UK and started his imigration from the UK.
I am emailing on behalf of my son who is presently on a working visa for the last 9 months in Australia. He now wants to emigrate. He is an electrician to trade but as yet has not done work as an electrician. What does he have to do to start the process of emigration, and also what does he have to do to start employment as an electrician. Does he need anything from his previous employer in the UK.
would i be more likely to be accepted in australia or canada or maybe new zealand if i finished my community studies degree and then got my pgce for teaching? even though i dont actually want to teach? do any of these countries value this qualification? which one more than most?

My rule is Job first - Visa second. You will probably need 12 months post qualification work experience. With 8 to 12 months processing time it would be an extraordinary employer who would consider a post for you in 2 to 2 1/2 years from now.

No - not as a skilled migrant on a "permanent" visa. You may be able to get a temporary" sponsored work visa"

You need to have formal quals (e.g. c&G's) OR 7 years demonstrateable work experience which is equivalent to an apprenticeship. I dont think you will qualify unless you do the 2nd part of the qualification.

Citizenship comes after 3 years permanent residency. He can apply in Australia if he gets sponsored by an employer. He should really see a migration agent near to where he lives. See www.themara.com.au

This is often where working holiday makers fall down. Prior to lodging a skills application he needs to have worked as an electrician (or some other skiiled occupation on the list) for usually 12 out of the last 18 months. He needs to get on the tools to make the application work. He can go from a temporary sponsored worker to a permanent visa holder.
