Questions:
Hi My husband has been offered a job in Oz and we need to apply for visa subclass 121. I was convicted of a drink driving offence (banned for 12 monhs and fined £250) approx 15 years ago when i lived in London but have had no other dealings with the police or have broken the law. Will this affect our application?
Hi there, Wanting to emigrate to either Canada or America though while i was young I received fines for three seperate offences, two minor assault and one possesion of cocaine, the reason i had it is because a i had lost a very close family member to a terminal illness. I was 19 at the time and have not been in any more trouble, I'm now 24. will these fines stop me from being accepted into either country. I'm studying aircraft engineering and my fiance is due to become a primary school teacher in the summer, will this help us?
Hi, I am meant to be travelling to the USA over this Christmas period and I have a driving conviction for driving without insureance (NI10). I am wondering if I have to aply for a visa??? I went to the USA last with the effence before I knew about having to get a visa and no body said anything at customs.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

I HAVE JUST BEEN BAN FOR DRINK DRIVING IN UK.GOING TO AUSTRALIA IN FEB07 FOR THE MONTH WILL I BE ABLE TO DRIVE IN AUSTRALIA
I'm applying for an Australian visitor's visa for the christmas break. In the application I included that I got an MIP (minor in possession) of alcohol in the state of Michigan for being under the age of 21 in possession of alcohol. Since it's a first time offense, I am given a 6 month probation period (deferred adjudication) along with a fine and a alcohol awareness class. I am 18 years old and I'm a university student. I'll be travelling to Australia with my family. Will this case affect my visa application?
Hi I have a son who has Epilepsy and attends a special school. Would this stop us emigrating to Australia. I also have another son who is dyslexic.
regards
My husband and I are hoping to move to Australia as he has been offered a job whereby the company will sponsor us both into the country subject to a VISA.Is my husband likely to encounter any problems with this as he has been diagnosed with hypertension which is under control but for which he still has to take a daily tablet?
I have a caution for common assault which i received 18mths ago, resulting from a drunken incident with a friend, where I was defending myself but accepted the caution because I had been drinking and the police said it was just a ticking off. I received no fines. I wish to travel through the US to go on a cruise for my honeymoon, will I need to get a visa and will this involve having to visit the US embassy in London? Thanks
i am planning of moving to canada where my defacto spouse is a canadian citizen. i was charged with breach of peace three years ago and paid 100 pounds fine but was never recorded as criminal offense. would this affect my chances of obtaining sponsorship?| Questions & Answers | |

Given the time since conviction and the fact that there have been no convictions since I am fairly certain you will be OK with regards to the character criteria. |

Your convictions are not relevant until you make an application. You need to qualify and have p/q work experience prior to applying. I would expect the convictions to be an issue although handled professionally you should be granted a visa. |

My advice is to declae everything in your past. As this is not punishable by imprisonment you should be fine in getting a visa. |

Each medical situation is evaluated by a Doctor if there is a query. In my experience a well controlled case of High Blood Pressure will not generally cause a refusal. |
