Want to go to USA for two week honeymoon. Fiancee has drink driving conviction 5 years ago and theft conviction 3 years ago- will he get a tourist visa
I was having microadenoma for which I took small dose of medicine regularly from last 6 months, now its cure. Will it effect my application ( do I need to specify it while filling my application)
When applying for a non immigrant work Visa what criminal checks do they make? I have been told by my local police station that if any convictions did not involve a prison sentance and were more than 7 years ago I they have been removed and I do not have to disclose them - is this correct. Is there any search that can be performed that would bring up spent convictions?
If I have a criminal conviction from 7 years ago, and served a 5month jail term for this conviction, for stealing, can I still holiday in Canada or America, or will I need to look at other places. Being Australian it says I do not need a visa, can I just arrive in these countries.
I've been charged with fare evasion (not paying a £3.50 train ticket) and am awaiting a court date, which i will then attend and fight. But if I am charged it is a criminal offence. How will this effect my chances when appylinf for a visa for america? I was upset to hear your answer on that we would fail medicals due to health reasons for our son who has Downs and a pacemaker. Would this be because of the Downs or the pacemaker? You did suggest about the possiblity of contacting a Doctor in Sydney and wondered whether you have any recommendations of who to contact. I need to explore every avenue. Thanks
I have a holiday booked to travel to america for 14 days over christmas to visit friends. I have recently found out that I may not be entitled to use the visa waiver program as I was arrested 4 years ago and charged with vanalism (even though this did not lead to a conviction). The charge was dropped and it was agreed that I had been wrongfully arrested. I am confident i would be able to get a visa for this visit but my problem is that I do not have much time left to try and apply for a visa as I have looked at the waiting times and i leave in under two weeks. Any advice on what i can do? Thanks
Therefore in your experience would that likely result in a refusal for a BUNAC work permit?
Regarding the BUNAC work permit for America there was no sentence only a police caution that went on record. i dont think that counts as a conviction either?
Im hoping to take part in a BUNAC work america programme but have convictions for criminal damage and cannabis possession. would this result in a refusal of the work permit by the american high commission?

	You will need to apply at the Embassy. In my experience - providing the theft penalty was relatively minor - he should be OK.

	You will have to declare it on the form. I have no experience of this condition from my career to be able to advise you.

	The police are wrong. International law applies and not local employment law. You MUST disclose all convictions.

	It could afect your application - but it would be a harsh official who held this against you.

	The waiver programme excludes convictions or undisposed of charges. Your situation is complete and therefore you qualify for the waiver.

	Depending upon severity of offence and sentence - it could. The only way to find out is to apply.
