Questions:

I am applying for Australian 136 skilled visa. I once conducted a minor offence with 2 weeks in jail. will my applicaiton be rejected or still have hope?
Hello, I have a permanent resident in Australia at the moment, but I have a fight with my ex-girl friend last month, and she call the police. Police haven't charged me, but police have a record of the incident. Will this affect me to get the citizenship of Australia??
My wife has a job offer in NZ. The employer has waited a long time for our visas to come through and is now quite reasonably saying" we can give you till mid december, then we will have to teke back the job offer". Our checks show that our application to immigration has been referred to the medical officers (we assume because I have mild tourettes syndrome and /or my wife is overweight". The question is.........my wife needs to take this job for all sorts of reasons..are there any other ways in which to take up the job legimimately before the deadline assuming the visas are not forthcoming in time and is there any way to speed up the process. We have a lot to lose, my wife has resigned and our house in up for sale, both so that we can go to NZ for this job. Many thanks
i had chest x-ray for Australian visa under employer sponsored schem and the x-ray report showing one or two small calcified granulomata in the left lower zone. is this cause any problem to getting a P.R?
Hi, my partner & I are looking to emigrate either to Australia or America if possible in the next few years. He is an very experienced roofer/roofing manager and believe this is on the skills list. However, he had several convictions between 1985-1990 for driving offences and one for grievous bodily harm, which he received community service rather than imprisonment due to cause of behaviour is following parents death. Would this be an utomatic decline for residency even though they are all at least 16 years old? Could you make a special appeal? Any initial guidance would be appreciated.
Hello. I recently contacted you by phone to ask advice about whether to declare my caution when applying for a ETA holiday visa to Australia. I received the caution 6 years ago for making off without payment. I was told by yourselves to declare the caution, and that I should do it online at the DIMA website which is www.immi.gov.au. I was told there was a section on the website which allows you to do this. However there is no where on the website which allows you to declare Cautions or any other warnings, criminal convictions etc.I have tried to speak to the Australian Embassy by phone, but whenever I do I get an answer phone message telling me to apply online. Is there anyway of actually declaring the caution, or shall I just fill out the online application and give the information which is asked.
hi, if i went out to new zealand on a working holiday could i return for holidays after and can you tell me the maxim amount of time you can go over as a tourist and if you need a visa, i do have a caution to my name.

... From Australia. Do you know if the UK has a similar Visa Waiver form when you enter the county - Cheers
Four years ago I was convicted of behaving in an indecent manner and had to pay a small fine. Keen to travel to the UK for less than 6 months as a tourist. 1.) Will I have to disclose this conviction or does the UK have a Visa Waiver Arrival form similar to the US Form I-94W where it is only necessary to disclose more serious offences 2.) Is my conviction going to spoil any plans? Thanks heaps

You will have to explain yourself and the circumstances of the offence. 2 weeks would be considered a minor penalty. The Minister's Delegate (the decision maker) has some discretion. This is the sort of application that would benefit from profesional input. Call me - Richard Gregan, on 0131 625 6906. I deal with 2 to 3 criminal and medical problem applications per week.

It could do - if charges were laid - otherwise it will not affect you.

Your medical problem was always going to be referred. I would not be prepeared to offer any advice that would probably dig you deeper in the hole. You may well be refused your visa. Someone should have told you this along the way if you have spoken to anyone with any degreee of professional experience this should have been flagged as a potential difficulty. Do not do anything that could worsen your situation if this is the end the result.

I dont know. I have never come across this condition before. You should speak to a Dr on this one.

No - this is not an automatic fail. He would benefit form some professional input at the "character" stage. Call Richard Gregan on 0131 625 6906.

Australia has a different arrangement. You will be required to fill in an entry form and prove your onward or return travel.

Principle number 1. Always be honest. If found out later you have lied - there can be serious consequemces. The visa waiver equivalent depends upon which country you come from. The U.S has it.
