Questions:

My husband has had a heart triple bypass and is now recovering well, would this affect our emigration.
I am a serving police officer 18yrs. 25yrs ago I was convicted of TWOC of a motor vehile, I was a juvenille 15 yrs old. My wife is a district nurse. I have considered a move to Austrailia but always thought the conviction would prohibit me. We are both 41 yrs old
I have a Police Caution for making a prank phone call...it was a year ago now. I am a student wating to participate in the BUNAC work America scheme, will I get the J1 etc?
We want to emigrate to oz, my husband served 3 weeks in jail for non payment of fines when he was 19, and convicted for handeling stolen goods and travelling in a stollen car at 18 and done for ABH around the age of 20. The past 14 years he has been trouble free and runs his own buisness (tradesman), his job is on the in demand list in oz. Around the same time he was in trouble he was suffering from anxiety and depression. Is this going to stop us emigrating and can you advise us. thanks.
Hi, My wife and i are wishing to emigrate to Australia within the next 2 yrs, trouble is i have a caution, for lewd conduct, i got very drunk during a low ebb and exposed myself to somone else in public, i don't even remember the event and have never had a police record before or since, it was over 2 yrs ago, would this prevent us from emigrating. When applying for a PR for Canada, do the Canadian authorities just go through your GP records? Or can they get access to other hospital files such as GUM files?
I have a criminal record for drink driving in the UK(6 months ago). Will i have to obtain a visa to travel to Canada and will i have to get a subject access statement from the police for the application?(similar to USA application).
hi, my partner and i are hoping to move to canada to work within the next couple of years, but he has a crinial offence for drink driving a couple of years ago for which he recieved a ban. We will be going with the view of having jobs in place for at least one of us already. Will the criminal offence cause any problems, or will it still be do-able? thanks

Yes it would. See earlier faq's re medical conditions.

This is almost certainly not going to stop you. Call Owen SMall on 0131 625 6918 for assistance. Your wife is on MODL (which wouldnt stop a character refusal in itself) - in your favour you have 25 years without reoffending, all that time "in the job" and I would fight tooth and nail to get it through.

These issues are probably able to be overcome. I would not advise attempting DIY though. There can be no guarentees but my experience is that you would have a very good chance of succes properly represented. Use a UK based MARA agent.

I cant give you good news. You will have an up hill battle. It is do-able but any experienced and honest agent would point out that there is a chance of failure. Call Richad Gregan 0131 625 6906 - I specialise in Police and medical issues and have done for many years. I am in Australia till 22/2/07. 0131 625 6906 Friday - during business hours or when I get back.

It will not ever leave your pnc. For UK employment you dont have to declare it after 10 years. FOr international immigration - you have to declare it always. IT never becomes "spent".

Yes it will cause a problem. Drink Driving within the last 5 years IS a major problem for Canada. Processing times for Canada is currently 3 years. Work permit route would also be hindered by the conviction.
