Hi reference the question and answer (thank you ) below. Would the same chances of success be applied to a permanent residency application after say 3 years of working in Australia assuming symptons were the same. Cheers
Hi i'm a 36 yo male applying for a 4 year subclass 457 temporary business visa and i need to attend a medical. I am taking medication for mild hypertension as there is family history (imdapamide 1.5mg + trandolapril 1mg). I also take simvastatin 40mg as my cholestorol was slightly elevated. Both are well controlled with medication. A recent blood test also showed a slightly high ALT reading of 65 ...all other LFT's were fine. All other tests are fine BMI = approx 26.5 , non smoker. how do you assess my chances with respect to obtaining a visa...no police history to report. Thanks
I am in the process of applying to W Australia for a permanent visa. My husband is a fitter so should stand a good chance of getting in. I am a teacher who finished a 6 month course of oxatin for panic attacks following a bad case of bronchitus. Everything is ok now and I have not had to take another course. Will this stop me getting a permanant visa?

ABH is serious. BUT each case is examined individually so if it is a "good" case you should apply. Call OE for advice. Number above.

not out right - no you will not. I would recomend a "pre MOT" medical opinion. Can you call me to discuss your options. Richard Gregan 0131 625 6906

Well controlled epilepsy, with a long history of control ususally does not effect applications success in my experience.

You should be OK provided the law/policy/condition dont change too much in that 3 years.

Well - first off, I are not a Dr. I do see hundreds of these type of scenarios across my desk and I have built up a bit of knowledge. With that qualification - i would rate your chances of success as fairly good!.

In my experience this will not cause you any problem. The medical officer may require a consultants report to convince him/her self that you are not going to be any future burden to the health economy of Australia.

I wouldnt think so. All criminal cases are judged on their merits individually. Factors like; seriousness of the offence, seriousness of the sentence, length of time since the offence/any other offending, etc etc are all taken into account.
