Questions:
hi i recieved a criminal record around 15 years ago now for recieving stolen goods i wish to emigrate to canada but im worried this will hamper my application..i have no other convictions before or after that time will i be rejected ?
Hi,
i have just been granted sponsorship from South Australia, however my 19 year old son was pulled for (morning after DD) and failed the blood test last November and was banned for it for 9 months in March. Our agent (workpermit.com) have told us he will NOT get a visa due to character. He is a good lad and this was out of character. We are putting together a case with the agent. Do you think he will be denied his visa. He and my wife are classed as dependents.
I have been told that when i apply for my visa because i have a drink driving conviction from 6 years ago i might have to give a sworn decleration about it or something to the immigration??? What does this mean, what would i have to do ?
I was arrested a year ago for fighting, was held in a cell overnight and released next day with a caution. Once I finish my degree I hope to do teacher training and become a primary school teacher in the hope that this will allow me to emigrate to Australia as a primary school teacher. Will having been arrested effect my application?
I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism many years ago and will be taking hormone tablets forever. Will this cause me to fail the medical?
Thanks
When going for the medical will they check family history......ie. cancer ( in our case bowel cancer - father and brother )and could we be turned down on these grounds??
Hi there I have been granted a eta tourist visa but since getting my visa have been charged with breech of the peace, will I have to get in contact with the australian immagration service and tell them, what checks are done when arriving in australia?
is the medical the same for skilled people as it is for parents and aged parents - surely the criteria must be "easier" for older people as they are more prone to aged related illness etc!!
Hi, i have a caution for theft on my file from last year, but no charges or convictions. My husband is very keen on taking an HGV job and immigrating to Canada as a family. He has no problems on his side. Can that caution on my file spoil our chances of immigrating? Many thanks.
I am applying for a skilled worker visa (i am a qualified mechanic) as well as a permanent resident application for Canada.
I however have a conviction about 18 months ago for careless driving, it was basically a speeding offence, but consequently i lost my driving licence for 3 months. I have no other convictions whatsoever and also have close relatives in Canada, and am also financially in a good position to support myself should i be required to.
will my conviction affect either of my applications?
Many thanks for your reply.

I wouldnt think so. All criminal cases are judged on their merits individually. Factors like; seriousness of the offence, seriousness of the sentence, length of time since the offence/any other offending, etc etc are all taken into account. |

1/ Is your agent a MARA Registetered Agent? 2/ In my opinion your son may have his character assessed and is in danger of not being granted a visa - but I would be 80% confident of getting a favourable decision for him. Possibly better odds if I got to know all of his circumstances. Feel free to call me - Richard Gregan MARA registered Agent 9905168 - on 0131 625 6906 |

Be open and honest - OR - You may decide to get professional representation. |

As Thyroxine is not an expensive drug - I think you will be fine. I am assuming that this is your treatment and there are no other complications. |

Family history is not taken for Australia. |

You will be asked the question via your landing card on the flight in. By rights you should really tell the department of your change of circumstances. |

The criteria is the same for everyone. Basicallthe question asked is"will this migrant cost us money"? - either for their own care or for any infection they may bring to our people" This is my wording but the general jist is there. |
