Questions:

Will having a drink driving conviction from 5 years ago stop me obtaining a visa to go to work in Sydney as a nurse ?
I had a drug conviction of possession of cannibis over 10 years ago and received a fine. Would this stop me from moving to Northern Cyprus as I have never done anything like this since and have had a good job for many years.
I want to emigrate to Canada an I’m a little worried about my medical exam. I was diagnosed with asthma when I was a kid (about 1 year old) - I am now 26 years old. In the last 10 years I had no trouble with my asthma (haven't been to a hospital, or took any treatment). I take no medication now and this is how it’s been for the last 10 years. The only problem I have is that I can't do physical demanding jobs (if I run or carry heavy things I get tired fast). Is this going to be a problem for my emigration?
My partner and I are considering a move to Australia. But before we start we have two questions: 1) Can we take our cats? 2) My partner in 1996 was convicted of possesion with intent to supply class A and Class B drugs. He served 3 and half years. I know this sounds, and is seriouse, he was very young and hasn't been involved in anything since. If this is a NO then there is little point in researching any further!
We have applied for a permanant residence.Shortly after the application was lodged my daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia.(she passed the medical )Will this affect our application.
I was charged with breach of the peace at the age of 17, I am now 22. Would this affect the chances of being accepted for a visa
I was convicted for drink driving 18 months ago. i now have my licence back. I have a Masters in Engineering. I am currently going out with a girl from malaysia. If I was to emigrate there in the future, would this conviction casuse problems?
I stupidly drank and drove this year and was convicted of drink driving in February. I was (up until this point) strongly considering emigrating to either Canada, New Zealand or Australia. I am not sure about Aus or NZ, but I vastly exceed the points required to emigrate being 25, healthy, Masters degree and PhD and experienced. I have no other convictions, no points for speeding on my licence, and have never been in trouble with the police before. Have I basically ruined my chances of emmigrating? I do not get my licence back until November. Thankyou.
I am a Australian citizen and have been living in the Uk for 2 years. I have to go home to finish my university studies. My partner and I are going to apply for a defacto visa but he was convicted of drunk driving and lost his licence for 2 years in 2004. The ban was up in Feb 2006 and he has his licence back, he has never had any other convictions. will this affect our application?
My partner and I are both British but he has served a custodial sentence in Spain, would this affect our application ?

generally speaking no. However the deciding officer will look for a pattern of repeat offending and or any danger to the Australian community incurring costs etc.

You should be fine. I have never seen an asthmatic fail.

Generaly speaking - no - But you would need to show there was no major sentence or possibility you will reoffend.

Canada really frowns on this. I would say this is a "no go" for 5 years in Canada. The other two countries are less black and white though and if you have a good case you could get through.

I would say it will not affect his getting in.
