Hi My Husband and I are applying for skilled Visa for OZ. I have Epilepsy not had a fit for 14 years and have only ever had 3 fits recorded on my medical records, I take epilim and I am otherwise fit and health with a normal blood presure. I am 5ft 5 1/2 but weigh 18 stone. I have no medical problems due to my weight will it still stop me getting in? If I went on a crash diet how long would I get before they ask us to go for the medical if my husbands job is on the occupations on demands list?
Hello, my family and I would like to emigrate to NZ to join the rest of my husbands family (2 brother and familys in NZ another with family in OZ. We will be applying under the family category via my husbands elderly mum who like us is the only other member of family still in UK. However, mum is now 78 years and has just had a chest xray that whilst 'normal' appears to have revealed a slight enlargement of the aorta (Dr. doesn't feel this requires more than aspirin at the moment), additonally she is often very weezy (possibly astma) but doesn't receive any treatment as well as possibly in early stages of senile dementia (very early) and has a slight hand tremor which we've been told is possibly very very early Parkinson,s again no treatment or follow-up. She has no medication other than the aspirin and occasional antiobiotic for chest in winter (possibly related to weezing/astma etc) and in all other sense is very fit and active if a little confused and dependent at times. Would we be likely to be refused entry to join family because of Mum's health?
Hi, I was cited two years ago with drink driving and have bipolar disorder. I am going the skilled visa route with a background in chem. engineering. What do I need to do do qualify with the bipolar or would this affect me?
hi i have been on a very mild antidepressent following the birth of my twins but now am being weaned off them as my doctor feels i dont need to be on them anymore as it was only to do with baby blues i feel fine now does this effect my medical
Hi, I was convicted of section 20 assault charge 3 years ago and received community service punishment. It was my only ever charge or conviction. Would this effect my chances of getting a Year long working visa in austrailia?
Hi, could you please tell me when emigrating to Australia and you have a m3 misdemanor conviction will they look at the police record and original charge or just look at the final conviction?, thanks
I am about to lodge my application for Australia but recently recieved a charge for drink driving. This will probably go to court and will be my only conviction, I have only ever been in trouble with the police around 9 yrs ago for minor offrnces such as breach of the peace, none of which were convictions. How will this affect my chances of getting a permenent Oz visa? I am 30 yrs old.
Hi,my wife was diagnosed with bowel cancer 16 months ago and has since undergone surgery followed by chemotherapy and radio therapy. She has been given a total all clear and told to go and live a completely normal life.Do you think that this could stop us from emigrating to Canada,British Columbia.

Depending upon the seriousness of your illness you may not meet the health requirement.

No - I would not expect this to cause you any problem.

Hello, Going by past clients I cannot see the epilepsy causing you a problem. The height to weight ratio probably would though. Australlia will want to be sure you wont cost them for your medical expenses during yor lifetime.

I would thin Australia DIMA would ask for a consultants report outlining your date of diagnosis, treatment history and prognosis. If from these they can see there will be significant cost to the Australian health commmunity then there should be no problem.

You will need to prove that you are not going to be a cost to the Australian Health system. A letter from your GP should suffice. HSA could ask for a consultant psychiatrists report.

They look at the conviction record.

It is hard for me to give a firm opinion. Sometimes this can be OK and sometimes not. A general rule of thumb with cancer is "5 years clear" There is a doctor we can refer people to who can give a medical opinion before you put your application forward. It always depends on the individual case history of the applicant. call me on 0131 625 6906 for a free chat.
