hi i have police caution for assault on a minor and have been told that i require a visa to visit the usa.is this true?and what are my chances of getting one?
Wondered if Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome would go against visa application for Australia. No medication required.
I am 39 years of age and have a criminal record dating back from some years ago. I have a conviction for cultivating cannabis dating back from 1999 and was given a prison sentence of 12 months for which I served just over 4 months. I also have a conviction for fighting dating back to 1990 and wanted to know what effect this would have on me applying to emmigrate to Australia with my fiancee and our 4 year old son. My fiancee is an English teacher and I am an Adult Education Tutor specialising in literacy, numeracy and I.T and have been for the past 5 years. We would really appreciate some advise as I have been lead to belive that my past convictions will mean that we can never emmigrate to Australia.
I have heard that you will not be allowed to emigrate if you have a past history of a mental condition, not including depression. Is this true?
In 2003 I was cautioned under the theft act 1968 s.1, my husband wants to take me to new york for our anniversary, how does this effect me? if i need to apply for some kind of visa is it dealt with discretly at the air port? i don't want him to know, i feel utterly ashamed, i just can't have him know this about me. thanks for you help.
I have a spent convition from years ago.I applied for a tourist visa to australia on holiday and was accepted. I filled out my boarding card and ticked the box do you have any convictions and was questioned at passport control. If i go again do i still tick the box even though it is a spent conviction?

Yes - you need to apply. Without knowing the circumstances of the offence I cant possibly comment on your chances. You should probably engage a professional to represent you. |

I have had several clients succesfully granted a visa with this condition. As with all medical matters "degree" is the crucial aspect that will be weighed by the decision maker when determining likely future costs of treatment or care. High costs would mean a refusal. |

This is my area of exertise and I deal with cases such as yours on a weekly basis. I would never say never in these situations. You will be closely scrutinised and you have some "work" to do to convicnce the decision maker you warrant a chance. Call Richard Gregan 0131 625 6906 to discuss. |

No this is not true. All medical conditions, including psychiatric, are judged on their individual merits. |

Yes. There is no such thing as a spent conviction in immigration law. |
