Questions:

I would like to move to Canada withmy family ,hopefully next spring.If Iwas to apply for a job as a skilled worker and was successful could I start immmediately or would I have to wait until I recieved residency.Also can you give an idea of how long a residency can take to come through.
my application is being handled by oe visas : if/when i get my visa (under the skilled category : i am an electrician) will this allow me to apply/take a job without any further action, ie further courses, licences? i keep hearing about various state licences and wonder if it applied to me and if so what is involved

Im a uk lawyer and on the face of it have the requisite points to migrate to Australia. Is it impossible without a job offer in Oz as I have read you need to be admitted as a lawyer over there even before you apply for a skilled visa im confused please help!
We are further education college lecturers who teach English and our job description very closely fits that of vocational education teacher. Are there any specific wualifications we need to have to apply under this as our selected occuptaion. We both hold first degrres and Masters degrees.

Hello, I cuurently work as an office manager and engineer co-ordinater in the uk,i have a team of 3 office based staff and 14 on the road engineers, i have been in this role of 2 1/2 years.i have my CIPD in personnel and i'm currently studying for my certificate in management and next year will be going for my diploma in management. Will my quals be enough to apply for a skilled visa for OZ ? also whilst studying for my diploma can i start appying for my visa or do you need to send all copies of certificates with the application- thanks for your help

Temporary Work visas are possible (depending upon your occupation and aeither a Province or Employers willingness to become involved. Skilled Worker Visas to Canada currently take THREE YEARS to process.

Probably not I am afraid. Send a CV via our online enquiry form. It needs to be an occupation on SOL. Sometimes this can work if you have an electrical qualification. Let us have a good look at your CV.

Your first step is "permanent Residence" in . Citizenship does not need to be given up in the USA.

No job ofer required under sub classes 495, 136 through 9. there is scope for extra points for a job offer in some catergories but what employer is going to wait 9 ish months for you to join the payroll.

It doesnt look hopeful from what you say - however send in a CV. You can only apply on "post Qualification" work experience unless the studying was done in OZ. Office manager is on SOL but is hard to getthrough these days. Send in a filled in form - relatives in OZ could possibly help your case.
