Questions:
I would like to emmigrate to Perth/Australia, my brother is married to an australian but they live in the uk, however my australian sister in laws parents who both live in Perth and are australian citizens have agreed to sponsor me. Is this possible to do as they are related to me through marriage only?
I am an Australian citizen and my British fiance and I are moving to Australia in 2 years. His mother has health issues and is somewhat dependent on us financially and would need to come with us. His sister is 23 and would then also like to come as she will not have any other family in the UK. Can you tell me how successful they may be in obtaining visas?
My husband has a child from a previous relationship. He and his ex were never married. We are looking at emigrating to Canada and it says to mention all children in the application regardless of whether they are emigrating or not. If his ex will not let us to mention their child will this cause any problems with our application?
My sister and her family emigrated to canada 5 years ago but are still on a temporary visa. Can she sponsor me and my husband and our 16 year old daughter
I am Australian but have lived in the UK on and OFF over the last 5 years on work permits. I ride speedway. My current visa was to expire Oct 2010, however I have recently changed employer. I have now been told that my existing work permit no longer stands and I need to apply for further leave to remain. Can you tell me why this is and how long the further leave to remain would let me stay for. I live with my girlfriend who is from the UK, we have lived together for just over 12 months and she is 3 months pregnant, due in March. I do not want to have to go back home to Australia now we are having the baby.
I am a UK citizen living in Australia at present on a working holiday visa. I am living with my defacto partner who is Australian. We have been together for 4 years but have only lived together since November 2005 when I came to Australia. I am planning to apply for residency once my WHV runs out at the end of October. However I have just discovered I am 7 weeks pregnant. Will this have an impact on my residency application? My partner and I are getting married next year and I really don't want to leave him especially since I am pregnant.
I am a Australian permanent Resident currently in the UK. I was sponsored two years ago in australia for a defacto relationship but have since left that relationship and married a british lady. I want to take her to Australia with me but am not sure of the best way to do it we know that I cant sponsor until after 5 years but my wife would like to stay in australia for a while to see if she likes it then apply for spouse visa. We would like to go as soon as possible what options do we have. My two step children would be coming as well could you help
Hi, I have a residency application currently processing at the London branch, but have been granted a temp work visa in the meantime to allow me entry to NZ to work. Can you tell me how I'd g about getting my residency application transferred to New Zealand for continued processing and if this would cost anything.
Thanks
Who do I need to speak to or find information about applying for a spouse visa?? Do you know what proof they require for your application??
Hi, Myself, my wife and 3 children are in the UK, wanting to Emmigrate to Australia. We fall too short for the skilled Visa. My Mother is Australian/Father English, but she came here many years ago, married him, had us kids then went back to Australia with our Father who has residency. They have been back there for around 10 years and are remaining there now. What type of Visa could we apply for to gain residency there and what is entailed in gaining a sponsorship from them, what are the costs of sponsorship on their behalf and what do they have to prove $ wise ? I've looked on the DIMA site but can't find anything on Sponsorship costs, just Visa fees. Any help greatly appreciated.| Questions & Answers | |

I would have my doubts in being able to prove "dependancy" for your future Mother in law. His sister needs to make an application in her own right. If Balance of family is achieved - then his mum may be able to go. |

Your best bet is probably a spouse visa (S/C 309) This ususallly needs 12 months "cohabitating". Exceptions can be made to this time requirement and I know pregnancy is taken into account. |
