Questions:
I am a South African citizen. I would love to work in Sydney, Australia. I have a B. Psych Honours and I am a registered counselor specialising in Mental Health. How do I go about finding a willing employer to sponsor me in order to work there? I am very dedicated and hard working and I believe I can offer my skills. How do I go about this? Many Thanks
My husband and I live in the UK and want to move to Australia. I was born in Australia and have dual citizenship. I have been working and living in the UK for most of my life. Will I be able to sponsor him?
Hi there. My boyfriend is an Australian citizen and works near Mackay as a mechanical engineer. I would like to come and join him for a year in Mackay so that we can cohabit and show that we are a genuine couple at the end of the year. However, the only visa I will be able to enter Australia with is a Working Holiday Visa. I plan to spend most of my time in Mackay and rent a flat with him (with both our names on the lease and bills in our name). Will it be possible to apply for a spouse visa at the end of the year?
My husband and I are wanting to move back to oz at some point in the next 6 months, but someone told us if you work for more than 180 days of the australian tax year you have to pay tax here and there, even if we've already paid our tax here in the UK. Do you know about this?
I'm a UK citizen and have been going out with my New Zealand boyfriend for over 2 years. How would we go about getting de-facto or me sposering him to stay in this country whilst i finish my final year of studying at university?
What nationality will our child be? I am british and australian as is my husband. Does it matter where the child is born?

I'm a 28yr old UK citizen;I met my boyfriend on a year out in australia-I left a year ago as I cam home to study.I qualify in a years time when I want to go back to Australia and marry him. We haven't lived together before, but meet up every couple of months and spend a few weeks together. Would I be able to go to Australia to marry him and stay?
Hi My husband and I want to emmigrate to Australia We have been married for 28 years I lived and worked in australia for 8 years in the 60s and 70s I have 2 children and 5 grandchildren in oz They are all australian citizens 3 of the grandchildren born there My husband has 3 children living somewhere in this country but they have been brought up by their mother We have no contact with them whereas we have lots of contact with my family there and go for holidays We are both 72 years of age and want to spend our retirement years there i know it says you have to pass the balance of family test and it says the purpose of the test is to objectively determine the extent of a parents links to australia as compared to links to children elsewhere in the world This policy facilitates the reunion of immediate or close family members but denies entry when close family bonds already exist overseas My question is Do the australian government make any exceptions Hope you can be of some help in this situation Look forward to your reply Thank you| Questions & Answers | |

Your type of employment will ususaly need an "in person" approach. i.e. go to Sydney and get some interviews. |

This tactic has worked in the past - but be very aware the purpose of the WHV is travel with some work subseqent to that travel. |

Its actually 183 days. This gets tricky and you need an accountant to help you here. |

you need to be more explicit. "going out" is not a defacto relationship. Go to the home office for more clarification. |

No - the child will be able to gain dual nationality. |

unfortunately no exceptions are made. If you fail the BOF test - you cannot apply. |
