Questions:

I want to emigrate to Australia. I have 125 points. At the moment I’m 44, my wife will be 46 in May is this a problem? Are there a set number of years I have to work in the particular skill on the visa application? Do I have to work full time. If for any reason our circumstances change would I have to be reassessed? I.e. If I became self employed, or wished to retire early.
Hi, My wife(26) and I(29) want to emigrate to Australia.We are from South Africa. Hello, I am an Australian citizen and My girlfriend is british. We met in New Zealand and lived together for one year there, then moved to the UK. We have been in the uk since june 2006 but plan to move to Australia in september 2007. We are not sure on whether we will end up permantly in Australia or New Zealand. Can she just apply for a one year work visa for Australia then apply later for the de facto relationship visa if we choose to stay?

	If you have 125 points apply now. If there are changes during your application you must inform DIMA.

	You will have hurdles to jump for both countries.

	Questions will be asked but I think this is reasonably simple and will not cause a refusal. You can travel in EU.

	yes it can affect your status and yes you should apply for the visa.

	It depends upon the individual circumstances. Please read the other FAQ's to get some idea and do some research . You may fail - you may not. It depends upon how the deciding officer views you as a risk to Australia!

	As your husband is over 45 he is not eligible for General skilled migration. Your accupation is not on the skilled occupation list (SOL) therefore you cannot apply either.

	Australia - 1 year WHM may be the best strategy until you have decided where you want to live and what would be the best visa to apply for.
