Questions:

I was convicted of an offence 2 years ago for which I did community service. Want to travel to Orlando next year would I need to declare it and apply for a visa?
hello, great site really helpful. i am looking to go to new zealand with my boyfriend who is joining the new zealand navy. i want to go over on a working visa and may look to permenant living if i like it. how easy is this to do. i have a caution on my record and i dont qualify for a skilled migrant. can you shed any light?
i did not receive a custodial sentence for the mentioned driving offences, it was a 15 month ban and a fine, however i was told that the offences were punishable by imprisnment but this was unlikely due to first offence?
i would like to travel to either the US or australia in the new year, however i have the 4 driving convictions which are nearly 10 year old and occured in one incident: drink driving, failiure to stop after an accident, failiure to report and driving without due care. This was when i was 21, i am now 30 and have not been in trouble since. Do you know if i can travel to either country and if so what forms will i need, many thanks
i'm planning on travelling to oz this xmas and new year. I have a few driving convictions including drink driving, this was over eight years ago. could i get though ok on a normal ETA visa. is this too much of a risk? will i need to declare these on another application and what are the chances of being granted a travel visa with these convictions. thanks
Hi. I have been to australia a number of times on various kinds of visas. Now i am currently holding a 457. The issue is, I have never mentioned my criminal convictions. 11 years ago I was convicted for assult (resulting in 2 years of probation and a fine) and 3 years ago i was caught drunk driving which resulted in a fine. I would like to apply for PR and thus I have to supply a police clearance. Will I be in lots of trouble for not having decleared my offences on previous visa applications?

Our son had testicular cancer at the age of 2 years old. He did not have to have to have chemotherapy, and was cured witht he testical being removed. We have applied for a visa to live in Australia, and are still waiting for my sons medicals. He is 8 now and not had any problems since. Could this application be rejected.
Im due to qualify as an adult nurse this summer, i have good qualifications in health care a clean drivers liscene but was involved in a incident with an ex boyfriend i was cautioned with common assault through battery i was going to take it to court as it was in self defence but i was too scared of him so opted for the caution. i wish to go to nz with my new boyfriend who has a job offer with the new zealand navy i would like to go over on a years working visa and apply for residency if i like it. will my caution have an impact on this. i have good character references.
Hi. I’m hoping to go on a working holiday to Canada next year. Five years ago a friend and I were arrested for drunken vandalism, dubbed by the police as malicious mischief. We were not deemed serious enough to go to court as the Prosecutor Fiscal decided action would not be taken further, choosing to earn us of our future behaviour by letter. I have kept out of trouble since then and held down a respectable job as well as studying for a degree at Uni part-time. This information about my offence will show up in a criminal record under other information I think but not in the main section as a conviction. My question is, does this affect my chances of being granted a working visa for Canada? Thanks.

If you are under 31 years - there is a one off "working holiday" visa - ideal for a "toe dip" with the country. Other wise there is a 6 month tourist entry - which you would be able to get as a British passport holder. Failing the above - you will need more detailed advice. richard@my-oe.com

You should declare it then.

If the offences were punishable by imprisonment then you may have a problem - otherwise you do not have to mention it.

When asked (either elctronically or on a form) you must answer truthfully. Your record does not sound to me like it would preclude you from an ETA.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. You will need to convince the health Authorities that you are "cured" - with a good prognosis. This would be done via a consultants report. Not a DIY matter - call 0845 601 7810

miimum 5 years clear with a good prognosis as I know this sort of cancer has should pose no problem at all.

I do not think this will trouble you. You may be asked for the circumstances and references.
