Questions:
Concerning my question just answered on meical records access and depression. Can having this in the past mean a medical fail?
Hi. Us the Panel Doctor for Australia allowed access to your UK medical records? If so, Under what circumstances would they do this? I HAve sufferred from depression on 2 occassions over the last 5 years as was on pescribed medication. This medication has been reduced and I now no longer take any medication. Will this effect the application? My husband is the main apllicant. Thanks

Hi, great site!. My company want to transfer me to the USA (Philadelphia) which is really exciting. However I have a drink driving conviction from 1997. How will this effect my chances of getting a visa. I am really worried because my company does not know this as the conviction was spent when I joined the company. Do the US really frown on this, if my chances are small, I will make my excuses to save problems. Please can anyone advise me. I appreciate any assistance you can give.

My husband, 3yr old daughter and I are currently considering emigration to either Canada or Australia. Medically they are fine but I suffer from hypertension which is well controlled with medication and also Rheumatoid Arthritis. This is also controlled by medication and does not affect my daily life at all. I still work full time and look after my daughter. My husband is ready to forge ahead but I don’t really want to spend the money if I am going to cause the application to fail on medical grounds. Can you offer any advice please?
hi, im planning to go to australia next year on a working holiday visa but am worried about my criminal record. At age 16 I was convicted for ABH outside a nightclub in which i recieved a 3 month juvenile order and paid compensation of £200,at 17 i was caught with a tiny amount of cannabis in which i paid £15 court fees and £15 fine.At 20 i was convicted for failing to provide specimen for analysis (drink drinking), assult on 2 police officers and drink driving. For this I had to pay compensation to the police officers of £80 each (i think), a three year driving ban and I am finishing a 2 year probation order in December and have not been in any serios trouble since it started. Is there any chance of them looking beyond the convictions into what kind of person i really am as these were all juvenile drink related crimes and have 100% grown out of?
in between these convictions i have been arrested a few times for drunk and disorderly and being noisy in public. will these minor offences show up aswell and go against me? Thanks
My wife has been given a job in NZ, we recently all had our medicals, two adults, 2 small children. I have mild tourettes symdrome and declared this (not that its a prolem to me!!). I also declared my only police issue , a DD offence 4 years ago. The doctor ticked the significant finding box on both my wife and I's medical form (nice of him after £700).I assume this is because of my tourette symdrome, and my wifes weight problem. A new life and two yeart work contract is at risk here. Do you anticipate a problem with us getting the visas given the above, many thanks for your time, martin
Regarding the question I asked about High blood pressure, I would like to say thank you for your quick response, thank you soooo much. Mr and Mrs davies.

The Panel Dr does not have access to your records. However there is a Qestion section where you are required to answer whether or not not you have had sucha condition. A false answer can made your application fraudulent and therefore liable to cancellation in the future. Speak to Richard Gregan on 0131 625 6906 for advice. |

They can check your country of recent residence (last 10 years) Rule of thumb - always be honest. You should not be barred because of this conviction in my experience. |

Tell your compnay and their attorney in the States will need to deal with it. Should be no problem at all, given the length of time since the offence. Canada would take a different view but INS are quite understanding. |

I have had lkiterally thousands of people in my career with your symptoms who now live in both Canada and Australia. A medical refusal would only come about if the degree of your illness is very high and likely costs to the health services in your new country will be factored in. If you need help call Rchard Gregan 0131 625 6906. |

Hi Martin, I have never dealt with a Tourettes but cant see this being a problem (as an educated guess). Weight can be an issue - Height to weight ratio is a reason for refusal of visas. A 4 year old DD shouldnt be the end of the world either. A case like yours should really have some professional help from the beginning - (I am not trying to sound a smart guy - I just mention it as information and advice to other readers). simple cases are good for DIY - not yours! Call me (Richard Gregan) on 0131 625 6906 for some free advice. |
