Questions:

I have two cautions one for possesing a small amount of cannabis and one for criminal damage (accident involving a broken window). If i am deemed inadmissible for canadas overseas working holiday programme would it be possible for me to get a Ministers Permit or TRV? Many thanks
My wife and family are considering applying for residency in Australia, however last year I was convicted of a common assualt for a push on the body. I receieved a £50 fine. Neither of us have any other convictions. Would this affect my chances of a visa?
Hi. I was convicted of ABH when I was 17 years old (I commited the crime when I was 16) I received a suspened sentence of a years good behaviour. I am now 23 and it is not on my record as I have had a recent clear CRB check. Can I go to America under the Visa Waiver Form on holiday? Also, I am training to be a nurse and am seriously considering emigrating to America once I am qualified, do you think this would ruin my chances?
Any idea what exactly the medical for Australia involves. IS there a limit on someone being overweight?
I have already asked you about my son `s chance of emigration to Canada after having a 2year and 9 month sentence for being in possession with intent to supply 1 kilo of cocaine. With his girlfriend being Canadianwhat will happen if they decide they want to get married ? Will this make any difference to his chances? Also his uncle and 2 cousins would also be willing to sponsor him
My son has a canadian girlfriend , he was convicted of being in possession with intent to supply cocaine and was imprisoned for 2years and 9 months last year, he has 2 aunts and uncles and 4 cousins in Canada all willing to vouch for him as well as his girlfriend. What are his chances of being able to eventually emigrate ?

Hi, my son was arrested 18 months ago as he was mistakenly amongst a group of people in a pub fight. He was later released without charge. However this is on his UK police record. It is under non chargeable. Will this prevent him getting his Australian visa. He is now 19. Thanks.
My Wife has been offered a permenant job in the US. She has been told she will need an L1 visa and I an L2. I have had some brushes with the Law and wonder what effect if any they will have and also should I awnser yes or no to a question on the visa application form. I was arrested in 1993 for having various drugs and the intent to supply same. however the case was dropped and never reached Court. I was also in 1997 found with cannabis and recieved a fixed penalty(Not convicted). I also have a couple of speeding fines in 1991 & 2004. On the Visa application it asks if you were ever arrested or convicted of various offences like drugs for example. Should I awnser yes or no as I was advised at the time of my main drug offence which was dropped to treat it like it never happened as the case was dropped. I dont want raise the issue if I dont have to but if I do will it be an issue?
I intend to train as a pilot in either the U.S. or Australia as it is far cheaper than here in the UK. However, just recently I have been convicted of drink driving - I am wondering to what extent this will affect my application for student/training visa's to both country's and which will be more perturbed by the charge? It is the opnly criminal conviction of my life at 22, and is the second ever driving charge after having been caught speeding by a speed camera once before.

Yes it would be possible - but difficult to go it alone. I can put you in touch with a good company who handle the legal submissions.

I doubt this will cause a failed application. The decision maker deciding your case will need to have all the facts and be convinced you are not a danger to Australia. I specialise in Criminal and Medical cases like this - call me on 0131 625 6906. Richard Gregan MARN 9905168

I am not sure how you have a clear CRB. You need to request a full conviction history - this will show your record. This will require pre- clearance from the US Embassy befor you can holiday. You could possibly get through without declaring it - but when you came to apply for a visa to live there - you would be in serious trouble.

Yes - Hight to Weight ratio can cause someone to fail their medical. I am talking obesity ++ though. My rule of thumb is "if you can fit your bottom in an economy Quantas seat" - you should be OK.

Being married would help - but lets be clear he has an up hill battle to get a visa given the nature and seriousness of the crime.

There are some ifs and buts - and depending upon the country you are going to - but the the answer is generally NO - a caution should not effect a tourism visa.
