Questions:

Heya, I'm 18 years old and from Northern Ireland, In the next few years I hope to go to Australia, NZ or Canada but recently got caught carrying a bag of herbal cannabis - which was a stupid mistake and I regret. I'm still waiting to see what happens about it, wether or not it goes to court or I get a caution. How badly will this effect my chances in 2 years for applying to emmigrate to each country? If you could please give me a good description that'd be greatly appreciated and how much would it cost for your fees to fight my case if I was denied?
Hi, we are in a mess. We are in canada on a work permit, but my husband was given a conditional dishcharge for shoplifting a bottle of alcohol 16 years ago in the uk. To keep his job he has to be able to enter the States. What is the best route, we have been told here that if we can get proof from uk that the highest sentance would have been less than a year in prison, she can give us a waiver. Where can I get this information, I have asked the courts in the uk and been on the internet for hours? The courts say highest sentance for shoplifting is 7 years - but that cant be for bottle of alcohol? With hope
Hi, I was recently falsley assused of a serious crime (rape) I was question and then released without charge. The police refuse to remove this from my record but have marked this as NFA (no further action) will this prevent me from emigrating to canada? Thanks

Re Pilonidal Sinus: Would you be willing to represent or help me fill the forms out when trying to apply for PR status to Canada? Do the Canadian authorities see pilonidal sinuses as a major problem? I.e medically inadmissable? What would they do when contacting my GP. The GP which diagnosed the sinus has subsequently retired thereby would they want access to all of my GP files because my new doctor didn't diagnose the sinus. Sorry for asking so many questions. I would really like to use your services and if you could answer the above questions in a clear and concise manner I would be most grateful. Thank you in advance.
About 2 years ago I made a mistake and went to a massage parlour, I have no record or criminal conviction but I did disclose this to my doctor. I believe he noted this on my medical notes. If the Canadian authorities were to see this would I be barred from PR status for Canada?
I had a pilonidal sinus removed in August 2003 and it healed completely by March 2004. I have had no reoccuring problems with it. If I were to try and emigrate to Canada would I have to supply my GP medical notes on this or would the panel doctor go back to my GP to enquire about the operation I had?
We are hoping to migrate to Brisbane at the end of 2008. My husband is a NZ citizen, who qualifies as an eligible NZ citizen. I am worried about the medical as I am overweight. I am approx 18 st although apart from this I am very healthy and have no other health issues. I would like to know whether this will mean that I will fail on medical grounds. If so, I have still got time to try to do something about it. Many thanks in anticipation of your help.

Now it would cause a problem. I two years provided there is no further offending you would have a reasonable chance in all three countires.

If you did nothing then natural justice dictactes you should not be refused entry to Canada. This is not to say questions will be asked. I would confidently represent this case. I would doubt this is a straight forward DIY. More a GSI (get someone in!)

There are specific questions on the medical form - to be answered yes or no. There is also a catch all question "anything else we should know" - minor colds etc are trivial - declare everything else.

Well, Ive never dealt with this so my answer is from the books and not from experience representing anyone in your situation. My answer is no - it wont affect your chances for Canada.

The latter. I have several clients who have happily migrated with this condition.

Being spouse of a NZ citizen will not entitle you to Medicare benefit as of right. You will not be able to get a permanent visa through this relationship alone so my advice is look to another visa category. Overweight will not effect you on your proposed visa.
