We are shortly emigrating to Australia and my parents want to join us when they are settled. They are both in good health and are 76 and 73. My mum has mitral stenosis and has been treated for a rodent ulcer which is basal cell carcinoma. She has had it removed about 3 years ago with radiotherapy and has been fine since. Will there be any problems with them joining us. Most of the family now live in Australia.
I am a specialist nurse and my wife is a newly qualified nurse. My wife had breast cancer 5 years ago for which she underwent a mastectomy and received a course of chemotherapy. She takes no medication for condition and remains clear. Would we be refused entry to NZ on medical grounds?
my husband has just received his police check and it has revealed 3 convictions from 28 years ago and has had no further involvement with police or otherwise since 1979, i am his wife ad am a canadian citizen and plan to live in Canada very soon. I am thinming about immigrating to Canada and have enough points in the self assessment as well as existing family members. However, I was convicted of drink driving 6 years ago and was disqualified from driving for 18 months. I'm worried that this will exclude me from admission. first off- always tell the truth - it has a habit of coming out and biting you. Visas have been cancelled for fraudulent misrepresentation! Mild Depression is generally OK. You will probably need some help in gathering some evidence to suppourt your claim to not becoming a burden on the health care system! |

I wont be absolutely positive about this until there is a consultants report on my desk - but in the main ladies of this age with mild cancerous occurences of this type (including my own Granny!)are fine in my experience. |

No, I dont think this should cause a refusal - but I would want to read a consultants report before I would take you on as a client. |

I think this should be OK - depending on seriousness and penalty for the offences. The length of time since the last offence is in your favour. |

Usually the headquarters of your local force. You can ask for the Data Protection Officer. |

5 years "rehabilitation" is the minimum Canada will accept. You should be OK given your 6 years. |

I have had a client accepted with this condition. However you may want to get a medical opinion before you apply. I wouldnt take you on as a client without this being done. |

No, probably not. The condition has to be serious and likely to cause Australia or its community seriuous medical costs for a refusal. |
