Any idea how much the Medical Examination & Chest X-Ray will cost?
I have the opportunity of a sponsored visa and 4yr contract in australia. my police records show i have a 18 month probation for a minor assault, will this effect my chances of getting a visa.

our permanant visa (STNI) application is with DIMIA in adelaide. we have front loaded it with police clearance and want to go for medicals. do we need to wait to be told by Dimia or can we arrange now to save time - I am a nurse with job offer

	Yes - this could affect your visa being granted. You would need to put forward a case showing you are not likely to cause problems in Australia.

	I would expect a medical referral on this. Depending on your prognosis you could well expect a "pass" on medical grounds in my experience.

	fairly comprehnsive tests + chest x-ray. If you have anything that is going to cost your new country any money they will find it out at the medical stage.
