Proving dependance of a parent in the UK is very tricky. Mainly because the parent will have a State pension etc and could live without the adult children. This situation is different in a developing country where there are no state benefits. If you all applied it would only be the parent that would be failed. |

You will have to sit a quick written exam. It varies from State to State. |

I would like to think it is me. There are some good operators in the UK. There are also some absolute shockers. The golden rule is only deal with a MARA registered Agent. This does not mean the person you are talking to has a friend who is registered. It means that they personally are registered. Ask the agent what experience he or she has had with your type of case. Ask them for contact with people whom they have helped. Make sure you feel comfortable in dealing with them nad that they have your best interests at heart and not their own. |

It depends on your childrens visa status. If it is temporary thenits a no. If its a permanent visa and certain other criteria are met then you could well be able to apply. |

You could qualify if you were seen to have a 7 year "learning path". You would most probably need an agent for this. |

There are 3 possible routes; 1/ Last remaining family member 2/ Former resident 3/ Possibly a sponsored work visa. The first two options are permanent ands therefore better options for you. They are quite rare applications and as such you will probably need some help with assessing which is the best visa for you and for the application itself. e-mail richard@my-oe.com for a free assesment. |

They could look at the contributory visa (if they can afford it) If they can then they could go on the retirement visa while waiting for the aged parent visa to be processed. |
