Questions:

Hi, we have been requested to provide relevant medical examination and XRay reports by no later than 18th May to Auz. Following the routine meidcal check it was noted that my girlfriend had a query in relation to a urine test which will require further examination, it may be something quite minor which may will be treatable with a course of antibiotics, but may delay the delivary of the documents until the course has been completed and the test redone. Do you find that if we let the relevant person in Auz know there is going to be a delay in receipt of the information this will be okay, and they will just extend the date or is this frowned upon.
Have made application and been requested to get medicals completed and original police check and forward for further consideration. We have in our application confirmed that my partner who is the main applicant has drink driving charge, do you think that this will already have been considered, new police check will not difer from original information provided? Feeling very confused, should we feel like we are moving forward?????
Is a thyroid count of 7 likely to cause a residency application to be refused?
I returned from Perth Australia, last End of August. I suffer with motor neurone and whilst out in australia my mnd seemed to get slightly better. After 2 weeks I was able to walk without my frame, not perfectly but I was still able to do it. I am going back to Australia this year and I am wondering if I get better again and my breathing eases, what my chances of emigrating would be. Many thanks Dawn
I am a 35 year old single mother of 2 children, I was in Canada on holiday last year and was arrested and held overnight for drinking and fighting, how will this affect my intending emigration this year?

You can apply for an extension through ASMC. This happens frequently and causes no real problem - other than a delay in a decision on the visa.

Depending upon the several factors you could be refused under character reasons"" - length of time since conviction, severity of sentence, any other similar offending, etc etc. Character issues are ""grey"" rather than black and white and an experienced migration agent would need to know all of the facts before giving any advice."

I assume you are on Thyroxine (which isnt an expensive drug- this is the acid test on matters medical) I have never had a refusal for a Hypothyroxic client.

Hello Dawn, Not very good I am afraid to say. Please feel free to call to discuss in more depth - 0845 601 7810

You must meet character requirements for permanent migration. Having a conviction can affect the outcome of your visa. Normally convictions must be spent or you must show you have been rehabilitated. The Canadian authorities are quite strict in this sense. Without having a full knowledge of the offence and any other circumstances it is difficult to give clear advice. Please contact an OE Consultant for a further assessment. "

All you can do in this situation is again tell the truth, you cannot hide your current police check which shows your convictions. Sometime when clients obtain a Scottish police clearance no convictions will show, but when they apply for a full UK clearance they do show up, and vice versa. If you put down you have convictions and provide a police check with no convictions this is contradicting. You are now in the same situation where you must now tick the right boxes to show convictions. If they are not serious convictions and no jail time served I doubt this will have a negative outcome on your visa. But yes NZIS & DIMIA take a very dim view of filling out forms incorrectly. It is also likely that they will not look at previous applications made but assess you under the current visa.
If I have had a kidney transplant would this make me ineligable for emigration to New Zealand
Not necessarily, you generally must meet the following criteria; The applicant or family members does not have a medical condition which: a. may represent a risk to public health in New Zealand; b. requires regular medication or treatment; c. is degenerative or debilitating in any way; It is up to the NZ medical team to assess this and is different in individual cases. It is advisable to approach a Panel doctor for initial guidance if there is some doubt.
Should we take copies of our medical and dental records?
Normally your GP Practise will NOT release these direct to a patient/client, once you have migrated and resident in your new country you can then register with a new practice. Before you migrate enquire with your current practise what forms and information they require to transfer your medical notes to your new GP practice.
Living abroad for a year - will i still need police checks - help please??
When i was a student i lived in Canada for a year. I came home to the UK for Christmas for (i think it was 2 weeks). Does this mean i don't need to get police checks done in Canada?? Any advice greatly appreciated. -------------------------------------------------------- The wording is If you have resided in a country for 12 months or more ...... If it was less than the 12 months I would say you should get away without getting a police clearence for Canada. However - as it is dependable old Canada - getting a Penal from them (the Mounties even!) it is very straight forward.
Kidney probs and medicals
Can anyone tell me it they, or if they have ever heard of anyone with kidney disease being granted a permanent residency visa. Would be grateful of any help --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently represented a family where the Dad had blood in the urine at medical stage- They now live in WA. I know from past experience that there are many causes of this -some innocent - some not so. Forget agents - get a medical explanation.
