Questions:
I am British citizen currently living and working in Shanghai China, my girlfriend is an American Citizen. We were hoping to move to Seattle at the end of this summer when my Visa expires, I am an architect with 4 years post graduate professional experience. As such I am looking to emigrate to work in my profession in Seattle, which visa do I need to apply for and what are the time scales associated with the process.
Hi. My daughter, son i law and 4 grandchildren emigrated 3 years ago to New Zealand, we would like to join them when we retire in 5 years, will we be able to claim our state pension over there or keep it in an english bank??
I have seen a woman migration agent in Edinburgh. She says she can speed up our migration plans because she has links to Adelaide. is this true?
can we bring our cat from new zealand to australia when we immigrate there?
I am a British citizen and have been with my Australian boyfriend for 4 years. I applied for a spouse visa last April but was refused because my boyfriend and I have not spent the last 12 months together. I am now heading out to Australia on a 12 month tourist visa (allocated to me with a 8503 no further stay condition). I have just completed a 3 years Bsc Mathematics degree. I have applied for an accounting job in Australia and the manager of the company has said he is not adverse to sponsoring me. Is it even possible for me to get a visa for this job? and what type of visa would you recommend? what will the immigration dept need to know about the company? Will I need to leave Australia to apply for this visa? Do I have to return to the Uk or could I apply from, say Thaliand? would the regional work sponsorship be relevant to me here if the job is in Mackay?
Thanks loads for your help

I am british born with two children born in canada.I asked a question earlier about our status if I divorced my husband would i be able to return with them to england?
i am british born married to a canadian and moved to canada 1991. i have two children born in canada can they also hold british passports?. i currently have a canadian passport with my british passport expired. can i renew my bitish passport to?
I asked a question yesterday which you answered, I thank you. But can I ask another? You said that my 9 year old son does have to get a medical for his father emigrating to Australia. My son won't be going and the reason you said was incase anything happened to me then he would be my son's next of kin as you presumed that me and my son's father were married. We were never married and I want to know if this still counts as I don't think that he is his next of kin? Thankyou| Questions & Answers | |

Yes you can. Depending upon "centre of gravity" you can emigrate as parents and the UK Government will pay your pension. |

It is against the MARA code of conduct to promise such things. Your Agent is obviously niether registered with MARA or an ethical person. I cannot get a case through the system any faster than anyone else. Of course the putting the evidence together correctly and leaving nothing out will save time in the long run but ~I would recomend you have nothing to do with anyone who is not personally registered with MARA and accountable to this professional body for the ethical treatment of you. |

Yes - you can. Speak to a good pet shipping agency. Animals generally cost more than children to transport! |

You will have to be outside the country when any application is lodged. I would suggest a 457 temporary sponsored work visa. This is generally issued fo rfour years. During this time you could change to a spouse - when you have the 12 months in a de-facto relationship. |

Yes you will need something signed by your ex and your kids can have dual citizenships - I think you need a family lawyer to assist you. This is not DIY. |

subject to banking security - yes you can. They would require to have a lien on something before they would lend you any money. |

Yes - subject to Hague Convention conditions being met. If your ex husband decided to be diffficult he could at least slow things up and end up costing you both family lawyer and court costs to get a relevant order. |

It does not matter if you were married or not. The fact is your child's father has certain rights. If you were to die a court could decide to place custody of your son with his biological father. This is as per the Hague Convention to which the UK and Australia are signatories. The reason for the medical exam is see if your son would cost the Australian health community any money should the above unlikely events occur. |
