Questions:

Hi there. Myself and my girlfriend(main applicant) are hoping to apply for a Designated Area Sponsor subclass 496 visa. We own an apartment and have been living together for 5 months and 'going out' for over 3 years. Do I qualify to go as her de-facto partner? Also we were going to use her 1st cousin as a sponsor, what exactly does the sponsor need to undertake to sponsor us?
I am American married to an Australian citizen. Can I go back to Australia and work in that country
I have a permanent visa in New Zealand, my fiance is Filipina living in Philippines. We know each other since August 2005. I've been in the Philippines twice and my fiance was on a limited purpose visa in new zealand. We wanna get married in New Zealand and live there. What would be the right visa for us? Can U help?

I am a British citizen and have been living with my girlfriend for the last 13 months. We have twins as of December and would like to return to NZ. My girlfirend is Dutch, however, has lived in NZ since the age of 8 when her family emigrated. She holds a Dutch passport with a New Zealand returning residents visa for multiple entries and indefinite return. I have a son by a previous marriage who will not be emigrating. Will this be a standard application for myself and teh twins to return? What passports should I apply for for the twins???
my girlfriend and i are in a same sex relationship, i am an australian citizen and she is chilean. We met in sydney 3 years ago, her visa expired one month afer we met and she left the country, she applied to get back in on a visitor visa but they said it was too soon. We went to new zealand to be together and have been living with each other since may 2004, she has a work permit based on our partnership, but we would both like to go back to sydney, we have evidence of our relationship and i was just wondering is it worth applying for a temporary interdependent visa for her for australia? i dont want to waste money if the chances of getting it are marginal.
I am a british citizen and have lived in Australia for the past year I have just found out I'm pregnant and I'm going back on a 3 month holiday visa in a couple of weeks but it expires in April how can I stay with my partner in Australia who is an australian citizen until the baby's born and get a visa for myself and the baby to stay there
I met my Scottish boyfriend while on a 2 year WHM visa in the UK. I am now back in Canada and he is applying for a working holiday maker to join me in Canada this summer. After living together for one year here (the duration of his visa) will we be able to return together to the UK under common-law status? Or will we have to extend his visa in Canada to 2 years in order to apply? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I am getting married and my partner has a joint New Zealand/Australian Passport. WOuld I be able to get a Visa to move to Australia with her? Would I need to supply any further evidence of our relationship other than a marriage certificate?

Defacto status generally requires 12 months living together as a married couple. Sponsorhsip involves having a blood tie. Assurance of Suppourt (who can be different from sponsor) puts up a cash bond which is retuened intact if you haven taken any money from Social Security in the first years of residence in Australia.

You will need to obtain a "spouse" visa before you would be able to stay and work.

Sposue visa from the family catergory. We can provide either a "DIY assistance package" or a "full service representation". Call for quotes.

your partner can sponsor you and the twins for a spouse visa.

I would advise applying for an interdependant visa as soon as possible.

Firstly congratulations. There are a number of possible visas including a defacto spouse 100 or 309. I would not be prepared to give advice here and suggest you see a Registered Migration Agent near you. see www.themara.com.au

You will either have to marry or complete the defacto period. I dont think a WHM is a solution for you.

You will need to apply for a spouse visa for either country. Much evidence is required.
