Questions:

hi, i have just recieved points on my licence for speeding, i have no other criminal offences to my name at all, but do you think having these points on my licensce will stop me getting a visa for usa? thanks, dan
I was convicted of a DUI a year ago. I didn't do any jail time at all, just community service. I paid all fines and am on informal probation - no probation officer. I am applying for a BUNAC visa to Australia and called the office - they said it should not be a problem. Have you seen this cause denial of a BUNAC visa?
Hi, is your medical record usually requested from your doctor?
I entered Australia 5 years ago on working holiday visa, then transferred to a business visa for 2.5 years for two jobs I was employed for consectively with different employers. I returned from Australia to the UK 3 years and am now considering returning more permanently. On all visas I stated that I had no criminal convictions, I have since found out that I should of declared a caution given when I was 15. Is this correct? I understood a caution was a formal warning only. Can this be clarified on a new business visa application, I would aim to secure a job and move out.
I'm due to travel to florida with my wife, child and in laws in 2008, I was charge with possesion of cannabis 6 years ago, do I need to apply for a visa? and what are the chances of success?
My husband has been refused a visa to the United States under section 212(a)(2)(a)(i)(l). He is over 60 years old now - the crime was committed 17 years ago - and wants to travel to meet the family he has only just found after many years of searching. His father was a GI in WW2. Is there any right of appeal against this decision? His health is not so good and this would be a one off trip to meet elderly relatives that cannot come here to see us.
I have been offered & accepted a job in Australia, I am a cannabis smoker intending to give it up when we move, my medical is next week & I wonder if my habit will show up in the blood tests, if so will it be a problem?
Hello, I am registered nurse and in the process of emigrating to Australia. I have suffered from panic attacks 5 years ago which was succesfully treated. I have not had panic attacks since and not on any medication for it. Would I be refused because of this and would I have to have further assessment?

no.

BUNAC is a private organisation that applies on your behalf - in much the same way as my company does. DUi can cause a failure. I have seen several fail in the last few years.

No - although the panel doctor can request it or to correspond with your dr.

You may well run into problems with this as it would probably be viewed as a character issue "that you did not declare". Call Richard Gregan - 0131 625 6906 for an informal chat.

Yes you need to apply.

Ther are rights of appeal. My suggestion is to get the US based family to appoint a local attorney to handle this.

There is a specific question on the medical form relating to this. You must always answer honestly. I have not known this to cause refusals.

Further assesment is a possibility.
