I have just finished a two year working holiday visa, I met my partner late last year who has a UK passport. I have a New Zealand passport. We want to get married in the UK. How do I go about this? Arrive on a 6 month tourist visa and then, get married, then can I apply for a visa which will let me work in the UK?
My partner (who is Australian) and I (British) have been in a de facto relationship for almost 5 years. We have lived in Spain and in England for that period. In a month I will be travelling to Australia on a working holiday visa with my partner. Upon arrival in Australia we would like to apply for a de facto spouse visa and set up a life in Oz. However, throughout the period of the our relationship I have been legally married to someone else. It was an arranged marriage and it has proved extremely difficult to get a divorce (for family/ cultural reasons). Is there any way that I could get a de facto spouse visa if I am legally married to someone else? Please help!
I am in a de facto relationship with my partner who has NZ citizenship. I have just received NZ PR through my work in NZ. My partner is planning to do UK working holiday next year and I am just wondering wheather or not I can apply. Do I need to apply some sort of de facto relationship in NZ first? or is that part of the UK working VISA process?
Hi, I have just completed my 2 year work permit in the UK. I am of New Zealand decent. I am currently in Australia with friends but want to go back to the UK to be with my girlfriend who is American, with a new 3 year highly skilled migrant visa. We have been dating for a year now with many photo's of travels (all dated) to prove it, we have lived together for just under 3 months with a few bills and so on in each others names. Can you tell me if I could apply for a defacto relationship with her, under her highly skilled migrant visa? Could you suggest any reputable agents that could help?
Thank you
Hey, Hope you can help with some advise. I'm British and my Boyfriend of Two and half years is Australian. He is currently on a work sponsered Visa that allows him to say in the UK longer than the normal two years. He has now been offered employment at a different company which would render his current visa void. We're not sure he'd qualify for a HSMP visa as he is 28. Are there any other alternatives we could look into? As i have only just graduated, we have only been living together for 3 months though we do have evidence that we have been in a relationship for two and half years.
Sorry for the long winded question!! Your help is greatly appreciated!!
Kind Regards!
My fiancee has recently moved back to Canada after living with me in the UK for 16 months. We plan to marry in June next year in Canada.
It is my intention to join her asap, however we have been given poor advice by Immigration Canada which has led to a delay.
From your website I now believe that my fiancee sponsoring me as her spouse would be the best option. We have been in a relationship for approx 30 months, however have not had joint bank accounts or any bills in joint names. We have lived together in a family members home in the UK for 16 months and they are willing to provide documentation that this is the case. When my fiancee came to the UK initially on the working holiday visa we also provided documentation at this point that she was to live with me at this time. We also have flights back to canada, tax information and other documentation such as letters etc which are also posted to the UK address. Do you feel that this will be sufficient? Thanks.
my brother has lived in Australia for 12 years and has Australian residency and is married to an Australian. I am a policeman in Yorkshire England, and as our mum has recently passed away I was hoping to move my young family out to Australia as I no longer have any Immediate family in England. Can my brother sponsor me or is it best I apply through the police force?| Questions & Answers | |

See a UK immigration lawyer or take her home with you whereby you will need to see an agent who can manage that application. |

That would depend upon which citizenship you hold. Not all countries have a recipricol Working holiday arrangement with NZ or the UK!. |

You have a number of "hurdles" to clear. Not least of which is your documentary evidence sounds weak. Staying with family is a weker case for "common law" spouse than is your own flat. You shuould take some professional advice. |

If you can get an offer of employment with a police force - then yes. Last Remaining relative is probably not on due to you having "near relatives" in your country -i.e your young family. |
