Overseas Emigration Visas

Entrepreneur Category

The Entrepreneur category allows migrants who have successfully established a business in New Zealand and have been self employed in that business for at least two years, to apply for residency. You may have held a Long Term Business Permit, or another work permit that has allowed you to establish a business.

To be eligible under the Entrepreneur category you will need to show that:

  • Your business has benefited the New Zealand economy.
  • Your business complies with immigration and employment law.
  • You have had an active involvement in the management and operation of your business.

If you or your partner or any of your dependent children have received social welfare while you have been in New Zealand you may not be eligible for residency.

To discuss your options under the Entrepreneur Category contact us and speak to one of our migration agents, or fill out our New Zealand business migration free assessment.
