Education system

Universities in New Zealand offer undergraduate, Graduate Programs or Post Graduate. In general the time of duration of New Zealand undergraduate degrees are 3-4 years (depending on subject) Graduate Certificates =6 months, Master=2 years, Doctorate= 2 years. However these degrees aren't measured by time but by subjects / courses taken. Depending on how may subjects / courses you are doing per semester, you may impact the time it takes to complete the course. Most of the post graduate courses however, do have a time limit to complete.

Language requirements
English is the primary language of instruction in Universities

Term dates
The academic year starts in late February and finishes in November. Many universities and colleges also accept enrolments in July.

Degree fees
Fees for degrees New Zealand are undergraduate degrees £18000-20000, Post graduate £3500, masters £3500-£8000 per annum. British students taking PHDs at universities in New Zealand are only charged domestic fees.
