The number of overseas students studying in Australia has risen to its highest rate in four years according to official figures. Total student visa lodgements rose by 7.1% in the September quarter last year, making it the highest period for lodgements in four years. Reasons for the surge include more streamlined visa conditions and the increased effort that universities are making to attract potential students.
