Australian immigration figures remain steady

by | Jun 24, 2013

Australia’s migration programme continues to remain steady at 190,000 places, equaling the record set last financial year, which saw the country’s highest annual migrant intake in history. Of the 190,000 total places, 128,500 will be for skilled migrants, 60,885 are for family migration and 565 are for special eligibility visas. It should be noted that temporary visas available to Australia, such as the subclass 457 employer sponsored visa, are uncapped, and are in addition to these permanent visa places that have been allocated.
