The NSW government opened the Skilled Nomination (subclass 190) programme on 14 July with an intake of 1,000 places. The intention was to keep this open for 4-6 weeks, but within hours the intake was complete. Due to significant demand, NSW is reviewing applications and the next intake is scheduled for 14 October 2014. Applications are lodged electronically through a new online system and will be open for four intakes per year with a maximum intake of 1,000 applications per intake.
