TRA issues updated version of TradeSET form

TRA has released a new version of TradeSET, which is more user friendly, easier to complete and provides a more accurate evaluation of applicants’ trade skills. TradeSET is a web-based tool that assists overseas trained trades people determine whether or not their skills and training match those required to work in the trade in Australia. It must be used by all applicants for the Subclass 457 Skills Assessment Program (applicants from nominated countries working in nominated occupations who are applying for a Subclass 457 Temporary Business (Long Stay) visa) and Offshore Skills Assessment Program (applicants from nominated countries working in nominated occupations who are applying for permanent migration) to progress through the skills assessment process. Job Ready Program (JRP) participants are now able use TradeSET as a guide to understand trade occupations in Australia.
