New Zealand adds new jobs to skills list

New Zealand has made changes to its Long Term Skills Shortage List (LTSSL), resulting in more visa opportunities in a number of occupations, with five new ‘in demand’ occupations added. Science based jobs are high on the list. Five agricultural science occupations were added, including Agricultural Scientist (Farm System Scientist), Biotechnologist (Genetics Scientist) and Environmental Research Scientist (Water Quality Analyst). In contrast, the Immediate Skills Shortage List was shortened slightly, with several teaching occupations being removed.
