Australian Government publishes draft report on migrant intake

by | Nov 27, 2015

The Australian Government is currently reviewing migrant intake and a draft report has now been published. The report outlines various statistics on migrant numbers to Australia and the various visa categories, with the aim of improving the Australian Government’s migrant visa programme. The report covers skilled visas, including state sponsored visas, working visas and permanent visa types. Although the report is of substantial size, there is not much in the way of concrete recommendations. Approved changes to the migration points test will be announced closer to July next year. The draft report can be accessed here.
