A Quick Guide to Sydney’s Major Business Districts

Sydney Central Business District (CBD)

Sydney is Australia’s largest and arguably, the most famous city. It’s home to the iconic Palm Beach (aka Summer Bay) and of course, Bondi Beach. But Sydney is much more than beaches, it’s iconic buildings include the World famous Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and of the Sydney Tower Eye. Jam-packed among all of this, you’ll find a bustling nightlife scene, world-class restaurants and of course, some of the top businesses in the world. Sydney’s CBD stretches from Central Station all the way to the Circular Quay and The Rocks which all come with stunning views of  Sydney Harbour, a landmark that is considered to be one of the most photographed locations in the world.

Chatswood Business District

Chatswood is located 8km from the Sydney CBD. It is a prominent business hub in the district. The top of the line transportation system in Chatswood is one of the other reasons for its prominence as a business center. Victoria Avenue spreads from the north to the south of Chatswood and is the core of the transportation system. Chatswood is mostly renowned as a major shopping destination, attracting close to 15 million shoppers annually, which of course brings plenty of employment opportunities. Chatswood’s major shopping centres are Chatswood Chase and Westfield Chatswood, as well the surrounding streets and shops. Chatswood also has plenty of entertainment spots such as restaurants, hotels, cafes, and bars and is a popular place to live. 

Eastern Suburbs Business District

The Eastern Suburbs in Sydney is a developing hub for Media Agencies, Public Relations Agencies, Digital Marketing Agencies, and entrepreneurs who are seeking co-working spaces, quirky offices, meeting rooms with the world’s best coffee and the opportunity to network with like-minded creative types. Surry Hills is Sydney’s answer to London’s Soho or Manchester’s MediaCity and the place where great campaigns are made. Business Venues in Sydney

Sydney Olympic Park is located on the West of Sydney’s CBD. It was built during the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 but since then it has become an impressive venue for various business, sporting, educational and many more conferences, meetings and other events.
