The new Skills Occupation List (SOL) for the 2013-2014 financial year has now been published and came into effect on 1st July. The Australian SOL is the list of occupations that can be applied for under the Skilled Independent visa (Subclass 189). Five occupations have been removed: Hospital Pharmacist, Retail Pharmacist, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics), Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures).
