New Zealand’s Department of Immigration increased its visa fees by 16.7% from July this year, which the department defends as reflecting the cost of delivering immigration services, and that the cost is still comparable to those of other countries. A skilled Migrant visa now costs NZ$2,400 (£1,224); the same visa was previously set at NZ$2,050 (£1,034).
